Serpente is one of the iconic lamps of Italian design: designed in 1965 by Elio Martinelli, it blends geometry, fluidity and function into a single sculptural form. Thanks to its sinuous metal arm and opal methacrylate diffuser, Serpente emits a soft, diffused light, adapting to any environment. The 60° anniversary edition — now in vibrant orange — awakens the spirit of 1960s optimism, making Serpente an enduring symbol of creativity, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.

Elio Martinelli and Martinelli Luce
The book published by Electa is the biography of the founder of Martinelli Luce
Not only does it retrace his 50 years of activity, but also tells the behind-the-scenes, the collaborations, the thoughts and ideas at the base of the creation of the company’s most iconic products that have written the history of Italian design. The biography, written by his daughter Emiliana Martinelli, today at the helm of the company, is also a way to find out more about the trends in design from 1965 to today from a different point of view.

3D
Virtual and augmented reality
Martinelli Luce has been investing for years in technology and in tools that can improve our way of experiencing the home and interacting with light, such as augmented reality and 3D. Within the product data sheets it is possible to rotate, zoom and move our products so as to observe them from all angles and display them in all the finishes (if available) and their dimensions. Furthermore you can download the 3D models of the products and use them in your rendering or design work. Through the collaboration with SayDuck, it is possible to contextualize, through the app that can be downloaded for free from Apple Store or Google Play, some of our lamps within the living spaces thanks to augmented reality.
Martinelli Luce has been a partner of Dial for several years, a leading company in the production of professional tools and software (Dialux line) used by architects and designers from all over the world for the calculation, design and visualization of lighting. Through the Dial plug-in, downloadable from our site, it is possible to use the 3D models of the lamps present in our catalog, accompanied by a photometric curve, within the Dialux program to carry out lighting calculations and renderings and export the calculation results into programs CAD type Revit, AutoCad, ArchiCAD, etc.
